CHASTIDY
Chastidy previously had a litter of puppies and has been through quite a lot over the past few months what with that and the transport from Texas to Portland. She is a shy, sweet gal, who can take a minute to acclimate to new situations and people. Once comfortable, she is a bouncy, enthusiastic player who loves squeaky toys and zoomies. She’s gentle and polite, fun to be around, and loves getting pets. She is smart, curious, adorable, loving, and still has some sweet puppy energy. The more time she spends with us, the more we are getting to know her and seeing her sweet personality start to shine through, but she still has a ways to go in terms of warming up and getting fully comfortable.

Meet Dotty! This sweet girl joined our program from Texas via Dog is My Copilot last week. ! She is very sweet and on the chill side – she would prefer a quieter home atmosphere. She does well with other dogs & cats – a true gem! Call us or apply to learn more about this cutie pie!
MANATEE
Meet Manatee! Miss Manatee is as zesty as she looks. This terrier mix is incredibly playful and affectionate. Manatee loves playing with other dogs and then settling down for belly rubs after. She has lots of energy, so she will do best in an active home. Manatee will make an amazing adventure buddy for humans and dogs alike!

FLIP FLOP
Greetings from good boy school! Meet Flip Flop! This three-year-old boroughbred cutie is a certified mush who’s working hard on his best boy skills with our friends at Personal Paws. Flip Flop is super adorable, with a big blocky head and a muscular stature that even body builders would be jealous of, yet weighing in at compact 45 pounds. According to his foster parents, “Flip Flop loves being with his people and has so much love to give! He never fails to make us laugh – his personality is even bigger than his head. He loves playing with his prized toys, but also understands the important of a nice snooze, and fills the home with adorable rhino snores.”
PIERRE
Bonjour, Pierre! It is our pleasure to introduce this handsome boy. Pierre is a 1-year-old Rottweiler mix, weighs 43 pounds, and is house-trained. Wow, what a catch! He is a furry ball of energy and loves going on walks. He would love to go on a romantic walk and explore the sights and sounds with his best friend (you). Pierre is super affectionate and will be sure to keep you company. His beautiful golden brown eyes will melt your heart, especially when he sits next to you and looks up at you like he’s expecting something. And that something is, your love. While he may always want to play with or be near you, he is also super patient and will chill on his own if he can tell you are busy with something. Handsome, considerate, and loving! Paws For Life K9 Rescue pulls its dogs from city and county shelters. Often, we choose dogs in need of socialization and training which we place with our incarcerated trainers throughout California State Prisons.

Bounce Animal Rescue is a nonprofit organization focused on rescuing and transitioning displaced domestic animals into their ideal homes. Bounce places heavy emphasis on quality veterinary care, nutrition, spay/neuter programs, education, and compatible adoptions.
ZIPPER
Zipper is a 3-month-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog’s adoption fee is $500 and includes age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, and neuter. This dog is good with other dogs, cats, and children. This puppy is working on kennel training, housebreaking, and house etiquette. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if it might be a good fit for your home.
BRUNO
Bruno is finally adoption ready, and looking for his best friend(s). Upon entry into Bounce, Bruno had a fractured front limb. This has been surgically repaired and will not require any additional vetting moving forward. He hasn’t let his previous injury affect his spirit. Bruno is a true social butterfly. Bruno loves men, women and children and is a complete cuddle bug. He is playful with other dogs and would love a canine playmate, but would also be happy being the centre of attention. If that doesn’t sound perfect enough, Bruno is house broken (will bark at the door to go potty), kennel trained, loves car rides and sleeps through the night in his kennel. Bruno loves being outside, rolling in the grass and soaking up the sun. Now he just needs a forever home to do it in!
Opened in 2023, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue’s South Carolina Rescue Campus provides live-saving services to animals in need. The South Carolina Rescue Campus is a place where we can temporarily house and care for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens and prepare them for transport to the Washington, D.C. area.
AGNES
Agnes is looking for some love and pampering! This mama has done a great job raising her three pups and looks forward to having some me time, which she hopes involved being spoiled rotten! Belly rubs, snuggle time, snacks—you name it! Of course, she’d also like to go on lots of walks to explore her new world and have plenty of opportunities to run and play with other pups like the young dog she is.
COCO
Coco has been well loved. Due to no fault of anyone, she sadly now needs a new home. She’s a sweetie who has always been a great family dog. She’s lived with dogs. She’s lived with cats – she was curious about them but left them alone. She’s lived with two children, ages 5 and 7, and was gentle with them.
