Cat Crate to Transport
Every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000, meaning your gift will go twice as far to save lives. With your support, we’ll provide more than 200 free rescue flights in 2026, giving more than 6,000 dogs and cats a second chance at life and the loving homes they deserve. Our rescue flights are always free of charge to our shelter partners, helping communities that struggle with pet overpopulation. To date, Dog Is My CoPilot has flown over 44,000 dogs and cats to safety, all thanks to compassionate donors like you.
Will you make a matched gift today and help us save even more lives?
Every day, overcrowded animal shelters across the country take in more dogs and cats than they can house. With too few adopters in their communities, adoptable pets often face the unthinkable euthanasia simply because there’s no space for them to live. Meanwhile, in other parts of the country, families are waiting to adopt, and shelters need more pets to meet that demand.
Dog Is My CoPilot bridges this gap by flying animals to communities with greater adoption opportunities. Rita Earl-Blackwell of Paws For Life K9 Rescue in Los Angeles, California, shared why our flights are so critical:
“Transports like this don’t just change the lives of the dogs and cats onboard, they also help relieve overcrowded shelters, giving countless other animals the chance to be seen, saved, and loved.”
The Airlift Operation That Has Transformed Pet Adoption
Euthanasia in an under-equipped shelter used to be the fate of many dogs in Texas. Then chartered planes started bringing them North.
These dogs and cats all landed safely with our partner organizations and found their forever homes. We are grateful to help these passengers land in HOMES all over the country!
Things are going great. The girls have adapted to their new home extremely well. With the changes in weather, I can definitely tell they were Texas dogs. They are not enthusiastic about the cold rain. They would much prefer to cuddle on the couch. Thank you OTAT and DIMC for bringing the two most loving and sweet cuddle bums into my life.
We adopted Junie in 2023. Dog Is My Copilot transported her and we adopted her from Freedom Bound Hounds. I first saw her on their social media because she was super sick and they were raising money for her vet bills. I kept following her and getting updates and knew she had to be ours. She is the most cuddly, loving, adorable dog ever. She won’t leave my side when I’m home and wants to be touching me at all times. I am so grateful for the work you guys do and for bringing me my soul dog, Junie.
