Penelope
Penelope has been on a wild ride since joining our program this fall and she is finally ready to find her forever home! She was originally from the Wind River Indian Reservation where she had an old injury that had not been addressed on her backend. Thanks to our partners at Idaho Humane Society they funded the surgery where they reconstructed her femoral head. She has quite the journey of recovery but is on the up and up! She does great with both dogs and cats and is gaining her confidence in this big world! She would thrive in a home where they can continue building up her strength with leashed walks. She will also need some help learning that the world is a good place. Penelope is not what we call a “turn key” dog but is going to make an AMAZING companion for someone willing to put in a little extra TLC!
