Each year, when our founder and Chief Pilot Dr. Peter Rork blows out his birthday candles, he makes one wish… to help save more shelter pets! This May, we hope you’ll join us to honor his birthday wish with a donation to help keep our aircrafts ‘Wheels Up!’ saving shelter pets.
This winter, The Big Dog has been soaring through the skies, completing dozens of flights and covering thousands of miles to support our shelter partners. Along the way, we’ve picked up hundreds of furry friends and safely delivered them to loving homes. One special passenger we’re excited to introduce is a sweet senior poodle who’s experienced quite the journey to happiness.
As we soar into 2025, Dog Is My CoPilot (DIMC) has been busier than ever, flying thousands of miles to save animals in need. From responding to the devastating wildfires in Southern California to expanding our partnerships across the country, we remain deeply committed to giving homeless pets a second chance.
This year has been one for the books! We faced challenges at every turn, but our hard-working team, our community of animal lovers, and amazing shelter partners showed up time and time again to help us complete an incredible year of life saving!
Dog Is My CoPilot is set to receive a $750,000 grant investment from national nonprofit Petco Love in support of their lifesaving work for pets.

It is with great sadness for us to share, on Tuesday May 28, The Sequel (one of our Cessna Caravan rescue airplanes) was in Addison, Texas for scheduled maintenance when a tornado destroyed the aircraft.
The rescue flying season is in full swing, and we have already hit another milestone: 32,000 rescued shelter pets! This particular flight that had passenger 32,000 on board was special for a few reasons! Our newest member of the Dog Is My CoPilot team was the pilot.
