It’s Old Bill’s Fun Run season, one of the most important times of the year for Dog Is My CoPilot. Old Bill’s helps provide the funding that keeps our mission flying all year long.
With your help, Dog Is My CoPilot will transport its 50,000th shelter animal since 2012. For more than a decade, we’ve been giving dogs and cats a second chance by flying them from overcrowded shelters to communities where loving homes are waiting.
As summer begins, our team at Dog Is My CoPilot continues to fly at full capacity, transporting shelter pets from overcrowded communities to areas where loving families are waiting to adopt.
This month marks my birthday, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than helping save more lives. Right now, every gift is being matched dollar for dollar—up to $50,000—thanks to a generous supporter and his dog, Abba.
Hello from the cockpit! Every flight represents a second chance for the animals on board and for the communities working so hard to save them. It’s been a busy few months for our team.
It’s been a busy start to 2026! So far, we’ve completed 20 flights and transported nearly 1,000 animals to safety. Every flight represents dozens of lives given another chance, dogs and cats moving from overcrowded shelters to communities where families are waiting to welcome them home.
As we’ve been busy with flight missions across the country, we wanted to take a moment to share a quick update on what you have helped make possible. Our team has been flying two aircraft, completing dozens of lifesaving missions, and helping hundreds of dogs and cats reach safety and loving homes nationwide.
As 2025 draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible year we’ve had at Dog Is My CoPilot and it’s all thanks to our extraordinary pilots, team members, shelter and rescue partners, and generous supporters like you.
On Saturday, October 4th, the Driggs Reed Memorial Airport was buzzing with joy as a Dog Is My CoPilot (DIMC) rescue flight landed carrying more than 60 dogs. The plane’s arrival marked a special celebration, DIMC received a $40,000 gift from Tito’s Handmade Vodka, the Vodka for Dog People, to support El Paso transport flights and DIMC’s Pilot Training Program.
As the seasons change, we wanted to take a moment to share an update from Dog Is My CoPilot (DIMC). It’s been a busy year, and we’ll be flying through the winter, thanks to our incredible team, our rescue and shelter partners, and supporters like YOU!
